Cobalt is a game.
Its mediocre, but it stands out (to me)
This game is a part of my history, but I could easily never play it again & nothing would change.
Discovered this game all the way back in 2017, but I played the spinoff "Cobalt WASD" first
because I thought "this one was made for the computer!" I was a simple moron.
& to further prove I was a moron, I thought the bots I was playing against were real people,
& I wondered why they weren't chatting, so I made a steam guide on how to chat ingame.
I was the most oblivious child ever.
Y'know the neverending story & those sphinx's or whatever they were called?
I NEVER noticed that they had boobs, SO many thing went over my head as a child.
(or maybe I saw a censored version idk)
Build & Shoot (aka ace of spades) is a pretty simple team-based game & I like it :)
You build with brown & other multi-colored bricks & shoot at people with 3 guns to pick from.
But you want to know the worst thing about this game? ALL the people who play it
always play on the gamemode "tower of babel" which is the WORST GAMEMODE!
There is a platform up in the sky that contains a briefcase,
& whoever returns that briefcase to their base enough times wins
& you have to build up all the way up there to get it,
BUT what if the ENTIRE enemy team decides to destroy the ONE little spire you're making all alone?
This is why Capture The Flag is the best gamemode.
(btw its more likely to find an active server on here then it is to find one on cobalt)
still fun tho
B.C. Piezophile (I really hope you're not dyslexic) is a game where you take control
of a mech that constantly has the cinematic camera mode on from minecraft.
(it also has ALOT of optional reading if you want to get into the world building
of a world where christianity exists & rules supreme on an alternate earth)
Although its only a demo, I like it because the fun comes from wrestling
with the controls of the mech & puzzling how to get around obstacles.
(it also has good music & sound design too)
I know this is gonna sound weird & maybe a little prideful
but this feels like a game I would come up with.
BTW this game desperately needs an fov slider
I like Rain World, but I have a problem with it;
I like the large regions in story mode, but I don't like going from point A to point B.
I like the arcadey mode of competitive arena, but I don't like how cramped it is.
That is why my 2nd favorite mod on the workshop is "randomize spawnpoint"
(my 1st favorite is the sunhat mod)(& the video linked in the photo is my 2nd favorite video ever)
I like White Knuckle because of its checkpoint system,
& ofcourse the overall gameplay aswell...
It kinda reminds me of Rain Worlds gameplay;
where the mastery of the game depends on your skill & knowledge of the movement system
+ additional items that aren't necessary but make the game easier.
I hate watching letsplays of this game becaus e they alwasy mute the talking guy :(
You know we live in an evil world because this game never even got as close to popular as FNAF.
The platforming is ok, & the top-down sections are a snore,
but its all worth it for the combat sections, they are absolute gold & will knock your socks off.
AND ofcourse the beautiful renders the game contains...
I am not a nostalgic person, & I think people who get high off of nostalgia are losers.
BUT this one is a nostalgia pick.
Mario Kart Wii & DKCR were the first video games I've ever played
(excluding the plug'n'play game "buckmasters huntin 2")
(my dad thought that making noise would scare the deer, I knew it was just a game
so I didn't care)
(I may have been oblivious but I wasn't a TOTAL idiot)
(but, all the deer did run away whenever I made noise...)
This game was balls to the wall difficult
but now as an adult with an emulator this game is kinda trivial with a keyboard.
Yeah but STILL screw the cliffs & forest levels.
I had a major addiction to TF2 back inbetween 2019-2020.
I was practically nocturnal then & I have witnessed so many disturbing sprays...
But PSYCHE I don't like TF2! I like TF2 Classified!
because I can increase my fov above 90 :)
(at the cost of the existance of the hell map known as "plr_sisyphus")
This is on the list because I love to hate it.
"Needless" is the best way to describe this game
The gameplay & combat is needlessly boring & 1 dimensional,
& the story is needlessly told in a cryptic way;
why bother telling a story (which is the focal point of the game)
& just hide it behind convoluted clues?
I was lied to being told that it had a complex story,
all it is, is a story of 2 lesbians sent out & trapped in space
& then they died, the end.
It also "insists upon itself" which I know is said alot as a joke
but it really does feel like it insists upon itself & acts as if its deep & complex.
